Minnesota Home Brewers Association MEAD DAY

Hosted by Paul and Betsy Dienhart at their home in Minnetonka, MN

The MhBA was fortunate to have Ken Schramm, the author of "The Compleat Meadmaker" as special guest speaker at our mead day in 2008. Ken discussed much of his latest research regarding meadmaking, and shared four bottles of mead from his own meadery - all were delicious! Al Boyce gave a mead-making demo - Al made a black currant mead with 16 lbs of fruit in a 5-gal batch, and one of the bags of fruit sprung a leak in his trunk. That explains the bloody-looking mess, but WHY did Al have a HATCHET in his trunk???
