- You get a certificate with 28 labeled squares on it, one for
each BJCP major style category.
- Bring your STYLE OF THE MONTH beer to the MhBA meeting in the appropriate month.
- We will draft a panel of 3 BJCP judges to taste and evaluate your beer at the meeting.
- If you score above a 25 on a simplified scoresheet, you get a BEER BADGE for that month's style to put on your certificate.
- Only one Beer Badge per category per certificate.
- When you have 7, 14, 21, or 28 stickers - you get prizes! (Prizes TBD.)
- Those whose beers achieve recognition will be acknowledged in the Boiler and on the website.
- YOU are responsible for the safekeeping your certificate - if you lose it, you have to start over!
- Notify the SOTM coordinator Joel Stitzel -
(joel@admissions.tc.umn.edu) in advance if you expect to
make a level at the next meeting so we can have your prize ready.
- Steve Piatz will be publishing his recipe for the style in time for you to brew, but you don't have to wait for his recipe if you feel you already know the style.
