Last year’s game featured a walk-off home run by the Saints, and to the best of anyone’s recollection, the Saints have yet to lose while the club is in attendance, so come join us on a lovely spring evening for beer, buddies, and baseball!

The award for Best Beverage went to Paul Dienhart for his Raspberry Mead.
The award for Best Food Dish went to Tim Burman for his Holiday Caramels.
A special thanks out to Michael Valentiner and his band, the Squirrels at the Bird Feeder who provided spectacular ambiance for the evening.

We will have a tour of the facility including the wood cellar. This brewery is focused on local flora and wild ferments. This should be a wonderful opportunity to see a very unique brewery and sample unique beer.

We had a fantastic group of experienced as well as new brewers join us. There was lots of brewing, sampling and sharing happening! 500 gallons of cider made its way to a ton of happy brewers. A big thanks goes out to Jason Dayton, Founder of Lionheart Cider who shared samples and gave a presentation on cider and their company!

This Saturday is the Minnesota Home Brewers Association annual “Learn to Home Brew” event at Barley’s John’s in New Brighton from 10 am – 3 pm. There will be door prizes! Everyone is welcome! Club members who purchased cider can stop by and pick up their order starting around 10am. Bring your sanitized plastic containers.

As has been tradition, Barley John’s will have their fantastic egg bake for sale. Home brew is welcome and encouraged but we do encourage you to buy at pint or two to support our wonderful hosts.

We have two fantastic events coming up very soon and we wanted to make sure you had them on your radar.
First of all, next Tuesday, October 25th we will be meeting down in Eagan at Bald Man Brewing for a social event and tour. Join us at 6 with the tour right around 6:30pm.
After Bald Man, our next event is Saturday, October 5th with Learn To Brew Day and our annual cider pickup at Barley John’s Brew Pub in New Brighton! Learn To Brew Day starts off around 10am with brewing demos, people sharing samples and some awesome food from Barley John’s. If you are interested in the Cider buy, MHBA members can purchase cider now for pickup on the 5th.
