2024 MHBA Cider Buy!
Save the date for the annual Minnesota Homebrewers Association CIDER BUY!
Number 12 Cider has graciously offered to host our annual event again this year on:
Sunday November 3rd, 12:00pm – 3:00pm
We have some fantastic new opportunities for our community.
Once again we will be transporting totes of freshly pressed unpasteurized apple cider blended for us from Pine Tree Orchard. You can make fermented cider, cysers (mead), or just enjoy it fresh! We have a limit of 400 gallons for this cider.
Another opportunity is provided by Number 12 Cider. Quantity will be limited to 275 gallons – when we reach capacity, purchases will be turned off. They will crush and press a blend of Heirloom Cider apples. This is a RARE opportunity for some classic cider varietals and will be produced from an assortment of the following apples:
Wickson, Virginia Crab, Chestnut Crab, Kingston Black, Roxbury Russet, others.
Paid members will get the first opportunity to purchase. On Friday October 4th, purchases will be opened up for other clubs in the area. Act fast as this privilege will be available for less than one week! Cider can be purchased from the club website here.
Purchases must be completed by October 29th (Tuesday).
RETURNING AGAIN THIS YEAR: We will grind and press apples that YOU bring from home, neighbors, and local orchards. Enjoy the “fruits” of your labors!
The event is family friendly! Come enjoy the company of fellow brewers, share homebrew that you have made yourself, eat and drink offerings from Number 12 Cider, and have a fun afternoon!
NO GLASS CONTAINERS!!
If you bring glass, you will not receive your cider. No refunds on purchases under any circumstance.
